IRIS: Identix Rain Intelligence Suite
Three modules that run your logistics flows, trace every item and answer operational questions in plain language.
Three modules
IRIS Flow
Intelligent orchestration of logistics processes such as receiving, shipping and inventory, automating flows and speeding up operations.
IRIS Trace
Complete traceability of items and processes, based on the EPCIS standard, for transparency and regulatory compliance along the chain.
IRIS Ask
Business intelligence with artificial intelligence and natural language, to turn traceable data into immediate decisions.
IRIS Ask: ask your operation
Your company already generates thousands of data points every day: production, shipping, receiving, movements, RFID reads, balances, returns, discrepancies and quality occurrences. IRIS Ask turns them into simple, fast and reliable answers.
- Where are my assets?
- Which shipments diverged?
- Which distribution center is at risk of stock-out?
- Which batches had an occurrence?
Simply ask
Instead of opening several systems or asking for a report, the user types a question. The platform reads it, checks the data and answers with something objective and ready to act on.
- “Which customers still have orders pending delivery confirmation?”
- “Which orders arrived today with a different quantity than expected?”
- “Which products or batches have been idle for more than 30 days?”
- “Which store, distribution center or unit needs to receive or return stock?”
Not a generic chatbot
IRIS Ask answers operational questions with structured, traceable data that belongs to each customer.
Business-specific
Vocabulary, flows and rules adapted to each customer.
Real operation data
The answers come from your operation, not from generic guesses.
Focused on action
Each answer points out a problem, ranks an action or speeds up a decision.
IRIS and the WMS
Many operations use a WMS only to control receiving, put-away, picking and shipping. When those flows are mapped in IRIS, it can take over that role, with less customization and faster rollout. In operations with heavy specialized needs, such as complex slotting or large automation, the WMS stays, and IRIS works with it, supplying traceability and answers on top of the data.
IRIS can replace the WMS
When the operation is mostly standard flows: receiving, shipping and inventory.
IRIS works with the WMS
When the WMS has specialized functions: IRIS adds traceability and answers without replacing it.
Built on EPCIS
To keep answers reliable and detailed, IRIS is built on the EPCIS standard (Electronic Product Code Information Services). Each answer comes from structured data and real events in the supply chain.
Global standard
A GS1 standard recognized worldwide, for interoperability between systems and partners.
Connected events
A complete digital history of each product: where it was, what happened and when.
Reliable data
Information captured at the source, for authenticity and accuracy.
Scalable
Designed for millions of events, from a single item to the whole chain.
Who it is for
Executives
Which units concentrate the most discrepancies, where there are idle items or tied-up capital, and where there is risk of stock-out, delay or lost productivity.
Operations managers
What is idle, what diverged, where stock is short or in excess, and what to prioritize first.
Where it helps
Logistics and 3PL
SLAs, diverging loads, delays, damage and occurrences by customer.
Retail and distribution
Stock-outs, availability, transfers and discrepancies between stores and distribution centers.
Returnable assets and packaging
Balances, aging, returns, losses and rebalancing.
Manufacturing
Serialized parts, inspection, rework, holds, warranty and recalls.
Pharma and healthcare
Batch and expiry control, cold chain, serialization and compliance.
Food and agribusiness
Batch traceability, production, quality, shipping and recalls.
Questions we hear
Do I need RFID to use IRIS?
No. IRIS works on events, and they can come from RFID, barcodes, sensors or your own systems.
Where does IRIS Ask get its answers?
From the structured, traceable data of your own operation, stored as EPCIS events.
